The Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) is the largest institution of higher education and research in the state of Alagoas, Brazil. Internationalization is one of our main priorities. UFAL has over 50 international agreements signed with universities and institutions around the world. Students and faculty members benefit from a dynamic, multicultural academic environment that fosters exchange and cooperation.

THE INTERNATIONAL OFFICE

The International Office of the Federal University of Alagoas is responsible for promoting and providing logistical support for international mobility programs for academic and administrative staff, as well as managing all international agreements established with partner institutions. Our team oversees international networks, agreements, partnerships, and consortia, such as Erasmus Mundus, Rede Galileu, Science without Borders, among others.

The International Office also supports international cooperation initiatives, assists international students, and advises UFAL’s academic units and senior administration on matters related to international education, exchange programs, scholarships, and institutional partnerships.

We are committed to providing high-quality services and support to our international students (degree-seeking, visiting, or exchange students), researchers, and staff members.

In addition, we work to strengthen cooperation between UFAL and foreign institutions, ensuring that the benefits of internationalization extend not only to the university, but also to the state of Alagoas.
